It took me four days to hitchhike from Saginaw

Laughing on the bus

Playing games with the faces

She said the man in the gabardine suit was a spy

I said "Be careful his bowtie is really a camera"

"Toss me a cigarette, I think there's one in my raincoat"

"We smoked the last one an hour ago"

So I looked at the scenery, she read her magazine

And the moon rose over an open field

"Kathy, I'm lost," I said, though I knew she was sleeping

I'm empty and aching and I don't know why

Hay Ride

This weekend I took my Dallas born

and raised roommate and best friend, C, to my little New England town.

We literally did everything stereotypical to do in a foliage clad state including:

• Went apple picking
• Wore flannels
• Went to the lake
• Drank imported beer
• Giggled

I would say it was close to perfect.

Party like it's 1973.

It was J's birthday yesterday so in honor

of her day she had a themed 70's dinner.

For the most part we all

didn't dress up that much,

just because we usually dress like that decade on the reg.

It was a lovely night

champagne was popped

&there were about a thousand hugs given.

Peanut butter & Apple Smoothie

I've been sick this whole week and needed something

cold and delicious to sooth my throat. So I started inventing.

This combo sounds a little gnarly, but trust me, its incredible.

• 1/2 of a honey crisp apple frozen
• 1 tb spoon of Better'N Peanut Butter (From Trader Joes)
• 3/4 cup Vanilla Soy Milk
• A pinch of Pumpkin Butter

Viola!
